BorgWarner Inc. has officially appointed executive Rajesh Kalathur to its board of directors. The addition of Kalathur brings deep expertise to the company’s governing body. Before joining BorgWarner, Kalathur concluded a distinguished 30-year career at Deere & Company. Most recently, he served as President of John Deere Financial and Chief Information Officer. In these combined roles, he directed a global financial services division holding over $70 billion in assets. He also led enterprise-wide cybersecurity protocols and digital infrastructure.
Kalathur also spent more than six years as Chief Financial Officer at Deere & Company earlier in his tenure. There, he led the capital allocation and long-term financial performance across international markets. His experience in corporate management and strategy will therefore be valuable oversight on the board of directors.
Strong Academic Record Supporting Long-Term Corporate Governance
Kalathur is a graduate of the best international institutes. He received his Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur, India. Later, he earned a Master of Science in Industrial Engineering from the University of Alabama. He also earned a Master of Business Administration from the University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business.
