Cable One Appoints Jim Holanda as New CEO to Lead Broadband Growth

In a move to strengthen its broadband leadership, Cable One has announced a CEO transition. In a key leadership change, Cable One CEO James (Jim) Holanda will assume his role no later than March 31, 2026. The decision to go with Jim Holanda comes after the retirement of Chair, President, and CEO Julia M. Laulis. Interim leadership is maintained by Todd M. Koetje, Cable One’s Chief Financial Officer, until the time comes to be taken over by Holanda. Holanda is no stranger to the industry; he has over 35 years of experience in the sector. For the last 15 years, he was the CEO of Astound Broadband.

Holanda’s Extensive Experience and Industry Background

Prior to that, he was the CEO of Choice Cable TV of Puerto Rico and Patriot Media. At the start of his career, Holanda was in key positions at Comcast and Charter Communications. He is a graduate of The Ohio State University with a bachelor’s degree in Political Science. The leadership transition also includes Mary E. Meduski assuming the role of Independent Chair of the Board effective January 1, 2026. Cable One is still the provider for over one million customers in 24 states with its Sparklight brand. She noted that Holanda’s extensive leadership experience aligns with Cable One’s strategic goals & will help drive long-term value for stockholders.
