Laxman Prakash Promoted by The Standard to Senior Vice President of IT Infrastructure and Chief Information Security Officer

The Standard announced that Laxman Prakash has been promoted to Senior Vice President of IT Infrastructure and Chief Information Security Officer. 

In his new role, Prakash will lead the firm’s IT infrastructure division. He will also embed strong security practices into infrastructure design, operations, and governance. 

Prakash joined The Standard in 2011 as Director of Information Security and Business Continuity. He advanced to Second Vice President of Information Security in 2017. Most recently, he was Assistant Vice President of IT Infrastructure and Chief Information Security Officer. He was overseeing IT risk, identity, and access management engineering.

Prior to joining The Standard, Prakash worked as Senior Portfolio Manager at Wipro Technologies and as a Manager at KPMG LLP. There, he directed security and business continuity services for enterprise clients. 

Prakash earned a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics and Telecommunications from University of Madras in Chennai, India. He is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) and Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP).
