Nexans’ Board today appointed Julien Hueber to succeed Christopher Guérin as Chief Executive Officer. The change takes effect immediately. Christopher Guérin will support the transition through October 31, 2025.
The Board emphasized that this decision aims to refresh momentum and further optimize performance. The Appointments & Corporate Governance Committee led a thorough search in line with Nexans’ succession plan.
Hueber, 55, currently serves as Executive Managing Director of PWR Grid & Connect Europe, overseeing a €2.6 billion business with 23 manufacturing plants. He joined Nexans in 2002 and has served on its Executive Committee since 2018.
He brings deep expertise in supply chain, purchasing, and strong experience in Asia-Pacific markets — including China and South Korea. He also led the “Industrial Cables – Industry Solutions & Projects” business worldwide.
Jean Mouton, Chairman, praised Hueber’s strategic vision and operational track record. He expressed full confidence in Hueber’s capacity to steer Nexans in this next growth phase.
The Board extended profound gratitude to Christopher Guérin for his leadership over seven years. Under Guérin, Nexans became a stronger player in sustainable electrification, thanks to innovation, responsibility, and clarity of mission.
