NRG Energy Inc. announced the appointment of Caroline Golin, Ph.D., as Chief Growth and Policy Officer. Dr. Golin brings over twenty years of experience in energy strategy, market development, and product innovation to NRG Energy. She will lead the strategic execution of major initiatives supporting reliability and affordability amid rising energy demand nationwide. Her responsibilities include expanding data center opportunities and advancing residential virtual power plant programs across key markets. Additionally, she will oversee NRG’s Government and Regulatory Affairs functions to strengthen policy leadership.

She earned both a Master’s degree and a Ph.D. from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
