Hexcel Corporation announced today that James (Jamie) Coogan will join as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. He will officially assume his role on May 1, 2026, reporting directly to Tom Gentile, Hexcel’s Chairman, CEO, and President. Coogan succeeds Mike Lenz, who has served as interim Chief Financial Officer. Lenz will continue temporarily as Senior Advisor to assist Coogan during the transition.

Coogan’s Career and Expertise
Coogan most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Axcelis Technologies, joining in September 2023. Previously, he was Senior Vice President and CFO of Kaman Corporation, where he had held various management positions over the last 15 years. He has been Vice President, Investor Relations and Corporate Development; Assistant Vice President, External Reporting and SEC Compliance; and Director, External Reporting and SEC Compliance.
Mr. Coogan has over 20 years of finance, accounting, and investor relations experience with various industries, including the aerospace and defense industry. He started his career with PwC, followed by financial management positions with Ann Taylor Stores Corporation and Mohegan Tribal Gaming Authority.
