HealthPartners Appoints Blake Berquist as Chief Financial Officer

HealthPartners appointed Blake Berquist as executive vice president and chief financial officer. He will lead finance operations across HealthPartners, including the care group, health plan, and institute. He will also oversee real estate, supply chain functions, and support organizational growth strategies.

Experience and Community Engagement

Berquist brings over 17 years of healthcare finance and operations experience across multiple leadership roles. He held CFO roles across commercial, Medicare, and Medicaid programs during his career. Most recently, he served as CFO for UnitedHealthcare’s national commercial health insurance business. He supported more than 30 million members in that leadership position.

Berquist grew up in the Twin Cities and continues to live there. He actively contributes to the community through nonprofit and financial service initiatives. He serves as board member and treasurer for the Northside Economic Opportunity Network. He also works as a volunteer tax preparer with Prepare + Prosper.
