Guidewire Selects Alexander Vollert as Board Member

Guidewire recently announced a key addition to its leadership structure. The cloud platform provider appointed Dr. Alexander Vollert as a new Board Member, effective August 1, 2026. Vollert brings extensive experience in insurance management and artificial intelligence strategy to the organization. This appointment supports Guidewire’s plan to embed advanced digital solutions into its products.

As a prominent Board Member, Vollert offers significant global leadership knowledge. He previously served as chief operating officer at AXA SA until December 2025. During his tenure, he guided digital initiatives and scaled automated technology operations across global markets. Furthermore, he served as chief executive officer for AXA Germany and Allianz SE’s property division. Earlier in his career, he spent nine years as a consultant at McKinsey & Company.

Moreover, his operational experience helps insurers transition toward modern digital ecosystems. Currently, Vollert works as a senior advisor to the Group Management Committee at AXA.
