Global workplace communication leader FORTÉ recently announced a major executive leadership transition today. Current Chief Financial Officer Christopher Mounts will assume the role of Global Chief Executive Officer. His official appointment takes effect on October 1, 2026. Mounts replaces Jeff Stoebner, who has guided the company as CEO since 2009. Moving forward, Stoebner will transition into his new position as Executive Chairman for FORTÉ.
Mounts originally joined FORTÉ back in 2015 as corporate Controller. Later, executive leadership promoted him to Chief Financial Officer in 2019. Throughout his tenure, Mounts strengthened financial discipline, systems infrastructure, and operational scaling. Furthermore, the Kansas City Business Journal named him CFO of the Year in 2024. He earned accounting degrees from Missouri State University and brings nearly 30 years of corporate expertise. Meanwhile, Stoebner joined the organization in 1993 and drove extensive international market expansion. Crucially, Stoebner spearheaded the strategic corporate rebranding from AVI Systems to FORTÉ. Today, the enterprise serves customers across 22 countries and over 70 global markets.

As Global CEO, Mounts will focus on unifying global operations and strengthening company culture. In addition, he will integrate newly acquired assets into one cohesive operational structure. This strategy ensures FORTÉ continues building capabilities to support scalable growth and customer success worldwide.

He brings nearly 18 years of specialized financial management experience to this executive post. Therefore, his appointment maintains financial strategy continuity as the business expands across international markets. Winger holds advanced degrees in accounting and finance from Kansas State University.
