He managed cross-functional teams across engineering, product development, marketing, and commercial operations. In addition, he served as Asia President for Diodes. He also held director roles across various affiliated entities and international subsidiaries. Before his tenure at Diodes, Yu served as Chief Executive Officer at Commit Inc. Commit Inc focused on 3G and 4G wireless communications chipset solutions in Asia.
Prior to that role, Yu spent 15 years at Texas Instruments in key management positions. Specifically, he served as Asia Vice President of the Application Specific Products division. In that role, he directed business development across wireless, ASIC, DSP, and digital camera units. Most recently, Yu served as Chairman of the Board at Canyon Semiconductor Inc. He studied electrical engineering at Kaohsiung Institute of Technology. Later, he earned his bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from Tam Kang University in Taiwan.
