CACI Appoints Dr. Dave Young as Chief Operating Officer

CACI International Inc. announced that Dr. Dave Young has joined the company as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. The appointment supports the company’s continued focus on Defense Technology Leadership and long-term growth. Young will report directly to John Mengucci, President and Chief Executive Officer of CACI. He will also serve on the company’s executive leadership team.

The company welcomed Young as it continues expanding advanced technology capabilities for national security customers. In addition, CACI remains focused on delivering mission-critical solutions across defense and intelligence markets.

Young brings extensive experience in operations, business development, and national security programs. Throughout his career, he has led organizations focused on space systems, advanced technologies, and defense innovation. Furthermore, he has guided large-scale teams and complex government programs.

Before joining CACI, Young served as General Manager of National Security Space at Lockheed Martin. In that role, he managed a business that generated approximately $7 billion in annual revenue. He also oversaw satellite, satellite ground, and space warfighting portfolios. Moreover, he led more than 250 defense and intelligence programs. His organization included over 10,000 employees.

Extensive Leadership Experience Across Defense Markets

Earlier, Young served as Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer at CAES. There, he directed operations, engineering, advanced programs, business development, communications, government relations, and corporate strategy. The business generated more than $1 billion in annual revenue.

Additionally, Young held senior leadership positions at Lockheed Martin and Northrop Grumman. Those roles helped strengthen his expertise in Defense Technology Leadership and national security operations.

Young earned a Ph.D. and a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. He also holds bachelor’s degrees in Aeronautical Engineering and Physics from Clarkson University.

With Young joining the executive team, CACI expects to strengthen execution, accelerate growth initiatives, and advance its position in the defense technology Leadership sector.
