American International Group has announced a major executive leadership change. The company appointed Sierra Signorelli as Chief Executive Officer of Americas and Global Personal Insurance. Her official tenure starts on January 1, 2027. In this expansion, Ms. Signorelli will lead commercial operations across North America, Latin America, and the Caribbean. Furthermore, she will direct the strategic growth of the Global Personal Insurance division. She will directly report to Eric Andersen, President and CEO of AIG. Consequently, she joins the AIG Executive Leadership Team to reinforce its market position.

Meanwhile, Ms. Signorelli leaves Zurich Insurance Group to take this post. She served on Zurich’s executive committee starting in 2021. During her time there, she held major executive positions. She acted as CEO of U.S. operations and CEO of Commercial Insurance. Additionally, she worked as the Group Chief Underwriting Officer.
Driving Global Personal Insurance Expansion and Future Strategy
Before joining Zurich, Ms. Signorelli dedicated 17 years to AIG. She led various initiatives within the Global Specialties division. For instance, she served as Global Chief Underwriting Officer for Specialty Lines. Therefore, her deep familiarity with the Global Personal Insurance segment will accelerate new strategies.
