JP Aubin to Step Into Vice Chairman of BGC Group, Inc.

BGC Group

BGC Group today announced a key executive leadership transition. Co-Chief Executive Officer JP Aubin will become Vice Chairman of BGC Group. Consequently, he will step down from his current Co-CEO position on December 31, 2026. In the meantime, John Abularrage and Sean Windeatt will still be heading the BGC Group as Co-Chief Executive Officers. They will be supervising all the operations in all regions of the company.

In his upcoming capacity as Vice Chairman, Aubin will report directly to the Co-CEOs. Furthermore, he will focus on supporting strategic expansion and driving regional innovation.

Mr. Aubin said, “I had the great privilege of working with Howard Lutnick for twenty years, and it has been an honor to serve as Co-CEO and lead BGC alongside John and Sean. After more than three decades in the industry, I now feel the time is right to assume the role of Vice Chairman of BGC, and feel equally privileged to do so. This role will allow me to add the most value to the Company, focusing on the markets and regions I know best, our clients, and our people, as well as helping the Company to innovate and develop new markets. The Company is in the strongest position in its history and in excellent hands. I look forward to supporting John and Sean in BGC’s continued growth.”

Strategic Leadership to Advance Financial Technology Innovation

Aubin brings over thirty years of institutional industry expertise to his new board role. Previously, he played a central role in strengthening European operations and expanding listed derivatives platforms. As Vice Chairman, he will prioritize market development, key client relationships, and new financial products.

Mr. Abularrage said, “JP has been a trusted partner to Sean and me, and we look forward to his continued contributions as Vice Chairman. Our strategy is unchanged, and we remain focused on growing the business and delivering for our clients and shareholders.”

The structural adjustment reinforces management continuity across the brokerage and technology divisions of BGC Group. Both remaining Co-CEOs expressed strong confidence in the operational direction of BGC Group.

Mr. Windeatt said, “JP and I have worked closely for more than two decades. Under his leadership, we have grown our European business and our Listed Products business into leading franchises. We look forward to JP helping us drive the growth of BGC going forward.

Moving forward, BGC Group maintains its focus on capital markets infrastructure and high-volume trading execution. Thus, the company positions itself for sustained operational momentum across international markets.
