Cross Country today announced two key executive appointments to strengthen its C-suite leadership team. The healthcare solutions provider named Susana E. Pichardo as Chief Financial Officer. At the same time, the organization appointed Andrew Harris as Chief Transformation Officer. Both newly appointed executives report directly to Chief Executive Officer Joel Tremblay. These strategic hires strengthen executive capabilities as Cross Country continues to invest in financial discipline and operational scalability.
Pichardo will spearhead accounting, tax, treasury, and long-term financial planning operations. Her leadership will direct strategic investments to support ongoing enterprise growth. Meanwhile, Harris will lead comprehensive transformation programs across people, processes, and technology infrastructure. His efforts will center on accelerating key priorities and expanding operational capabilities.
“Cross Country is building on a strong foundation with focused investment and a clear growth strategy,” said Joel Tremblay, chief executive officer of Cross Country Healthcare. “Susana brings exceptional experience guiding financial strategy through growth, acquisitions and complex business transitions, and Andy turns strategy into action across complex businesses. Together they pair financial discipline with execution, and that combination will help us accelerate our momentum, scale our capabilities and deliver even greater value to our clients, employees and professionals.”
Strategic C-Suite Leadership to Drive Enterprise Expansion
Pichardo brings over thirty years of executive finance experience across diverse healthcare sectors. Previously, she served as Executive Vice President and CFO at Convey Health Solutions. During her tenure, she successfully guided financial operations through public offerings and acquisitions. Earlier in her career, she managed major financial integration initiatives at Envision Healthcare.
“Cross Country has a strong business and clear opportunities for growth,” said Pichardo. “Our proven expertise, enterprise workforce solutions and technology give us a leadership position worth investing behind. I’m here to partner with our teams to guide smart investments, support sustainable growth and translate those opportunities into measurable results for our clients and the business.”
Pichardo is a Certified Public Accountant with credentials from Florida Atlantic University. She also serves as a volunteer advisor for Family Bridges.
Harris brings two decades of expertise spanning healthcare technology and enterprise software. Most recently, he worked as Senior Vice President at Intelerad Medical Systems. In that role, he led critical due diligence preceding a major acquisition. Furthermore, Harris previously held senior leadership roles at Khoros, VMware, Deloitte, and EY.
“What drew me to Cross Country is the strength of its people, their 40 years of trusted client relationships and the technology that’s advancing how healthcare organizations manage clinicians and care for patients,” said Harris. “We have a tremendous opportunity to build on those strengths, advance our capabilities in even more powerful ways and extend our impact across the healthcare industry. I’m excited to work alongside our teams to accelerate growth, build new capabilities and help our clients drive outcomes for patients with greater confidence.”
A decorated U.S. Army veteran, Harris earned a Bronze Star and Purple Heart. He holds advanced degrees from UT Austin and George Washington University.
