SOLVE Appoints Joe Plastina Co-CEO, Eugene Grinberg Transitions to Chairman

SOLVE

SOLVE recently announced major updates to its executive leadership team. The enterprise financial technology leader appointed Joe Plastina as its new co-Chief Executive Officer. Previously, Plastina served as the chief financial officer and chief operating officer at SOLVE. He now joins co-founder Gerard Nealon to lead the company as co-CEO. Meanwhile, co-founder Eugene Grinberg transitions into the role of chairman. Grinberg previously served as co-CEO since co-founding SOLVE alongside Nealon in 2011.

Consequently, this key structural change aligns with continuous business expansion across global markets. Today, SOLVE delivers pre-trade data and predictive pricing to over 325 sophisticated financial institutions worldwide. The updated executive structure allows Grinberg to focus deeply on expanding key client relationships. Furthermore, he will direct industry engagement and spearhead corporate strategy moving forward. Meanwhile, Nealon’s ongoing executive role remains unchanged throughout this transition.

“SOLVE has reached a point in its growth where this leadership structure makes sense for the business and allows each of us to focus on where we can contribute the most,” said Grinberg. “Gerard and Joe bring complementary strengths to leading the company, and I’m looking forward to spending more time with our clients and the broader fixed income community.”

Joe Plastina Brings Deep Finance and Operational Expertise

Indeed, Plastina brings more than 25 years of extensive professional experience to his expanded role. His background spans finance, corporate development, strategic planning, and technology operations. Notably, he participated in over $4 billion in acquisitions and divestitures throughout his career. Before joining SOLVE, Plastina held senior leadership positions across several prominent fintech organizations. Additionally, he acted as a consultant and fractional CFO for private equity-backed firms.

“I’m excited to take on this expanded role alongside Gerard as we build on SOLVE’s momentum,” said Plastina. “My focus will remain on strengthening our operations, supporting our teams and ensuring we have the foundation in place to continue growing the business and serving our clients over the long term.”

“Joe’s experience in finance, operations and corporate development complements the strengths of our leadership team,” said Nealon. “As we look ahead, our priority is to continue building on what we’ve established at SOLVE, expanding our capabilities and delivering more value to the fixed income market.”
