Wolters Kluwer today announced a leadership change at Wolters Kluwer Corporate Tax. The company appointed Tomàs Font as General Manager of the business. Wolters Kluwer is a global leader in professional information, software solutions and services. Corporate Tax operates within the Corporate Performance & ESG division.
Wolters Kluwer is expanding its support for corporate tax departments. Moreover, the company is building a more complete indirect tax offering. This offering will serve a broader market of multinational organizations. The recent acquisition of Marosa strengthens that effort. Marosa provides VAT compliance and e-invoicing solutions.
As a result, those capabilities now join Wolters Kluwer’s established CCH SureTax U.S. sales and use tax offering. In addition, planned VAT Determination capabilities will extend the offering further. Together, these steps support Wolters Kluwer’s expansion into the global indirect tax market.
“As we build a more complete indirect tax offering for multinational customers, our ambition for this business has grown considerably,” said Maria Montenegro, CEO of Corporate Performance & ESG at Wolters Kluwer. “Tomàs has led growth and transformation in the tax software market across geographies with Wolters Kluwer for nearly two decades. He is well positioned to lead Corporate Tax into this next chapter.”
Leadership for the Next Phase of Corporate Tax
Font brings 18 years of experience at Wolters Kluwer. Most recently, he led the Tax & Accounting Europe South region. Throughout his career, he has grown software businesses. He has also led major transformation initiatives and developed teams across markets.
Font now steps into the top role at Wolters Kluwer Corporate Tax. He will guide the business as it widens its indirect tax capabilities. Meanwhile, he will focus on the needs of large companies and multinational corporations.
“Large companies and multinational corporations face growing complexity as tax requirements become more digital and cross-border,” said Font. “Wolters Kluwer has an opportunity to simplify how customers manage these demands through a more connected, comprehensive, and modern approach to indirect tax. I look forward to working with our teams and customers as we build a stronger offering for the future.”
Font succeeds Alberto de Benito Aznar. Aznar has moved to a new role as General Manager of Wolters Kluwer’s Audit & Assurance business. That business also sits within the Corporate Performance & ESG division.
Overall, the appointment signals a clear push at Wolters Kluwer Corporate Tax. The company aims to deliver a connected, modern indirect tax solution for its global customers.
