Hammerspace appointed John McKillop today as its new Vice President of Americas Sales. This strategic hiring choice comes amid accelerating global demand for high-performance artificial intelligence data infrastructure. McKillop brings over twenty-five years of industry experience building high-performance sales organizations. Furthermore, his main focus involves driving enterprise revenue growth and expanding strategic partnerships across all regional territories.
Modern organizations are moving rapidly from experimental artificial intelligence deployments to full production systems. Consequently, Hammerspace continues to build strong momentum by helping enterprises orchestrate data across existing IT environments. The technology effectively eliminates isolated data silos and maximizes return on expensive GPU hardware investments. McKillop will expand on this foundation by building stronger regional momentum across Americas Sales.
“We’ve experienced phenomenal growth this year,” said Tony Asaro, Chief Business Officer of Hammerspace. “We are excited to bring John onto the team to help us increase our momentum in the market. He has a great track record of success, scaling sales organizations and building the partnerships needed to turn market leadership into sustained revenue growth.”
Accelerating Enterprise Growth and Strategic Partnerships
McKillop holds extensive leadership experience across prominent enterprise technology organizations. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President of Global Sales and Senior Vice President of Americas Sales at Quantum Corporation. In that role, he directed a global team of over three hundred sales professionals. He also successfully managed sales strategy, daily field operations, and strategic market initiatives across global regions.
Most recently, McKillop worked as Chief Revenue Officer at Openprise. He helped large enterprises optimize market operations through data orchestration, automation, and artificial intelligence tools. Now, he brings those specialized skill sets directly into his new leadership position managing Americas Sales.
“What attracted me to Hammerspace is the combination of differentiated technology, an exceptional team and the momentum already underway,” said McKillop. “The market opportunity is enormous, and Hammerspace is uniquely positioned to capture it. My focus is on accelerating that growth by scaling our sales organization, expanding our strategic partnerships and helping more customers realize the value of AI anywhere.”
Also, the need for scalable storage architecture is on the rise in leading industry sectors. It is necessary for enterprises to have large unstructured data storage for the training of machine learning models. Thus, execution in Americas Sales becomes extremely important during this transformation period for keeping its lead in the market.
Moreover, McKillop will concentrate on developing the partner network for the enterprise within North and South American regions. Channel partnerships will allow the company to speed up the process of client adoption in commercial verticals. Hence, his team will coordinate direct sales efforts with technology partners to gain maximum coverage.
Finally, this appointment of the executive has provided solid ground for future growth of Americas Sales. The leadership believes that McKillop will be able to scale customer engagement and generate consistent revenue execution. Thus, enterprise customers can use Hammerspace to streamline data workloads while scaling up Americas Sales.
