Before joining the firm, Ruiz served as President at Davies North America. She managed Workers’ Compensation, Casualty, and Managed Care operations across distinct global business entities. Consequently, she held full P&L accountability while driving operational efficiency across complex TPA programs.
“Viviane is a proven leader who has driven innovation and growth at the highest levels of our industry,” said Tom Veale, TRISTAR President. “Her unique blend of technology depth, operational expertise, and executive P&L leadership makes her the ideal choice to lead our Managed Care division into its next chapter. We are thrilled to welcome her to the TRISTAR family.”
Extensive Background in Technology and Operations
Previously, Ruiz gained 16 years of experience in developing her career at Brown & Brown Insurance. Besides, she performed COO and CIO roles together for the company’s Services Segment. The areas of her responsibility were technology strategy for enterprise, digital transformation, and national expansion. Initially, her career was launched in an IT management role. Thus, she is able to link technological advancement with business implementation on a large scale.
In her role at Davies, Ruiz drove innovation with the help of AI-based workflow automation solutions. Moreover, she updated claims management platforms and vendor partnerships strategically within national programs. She managed business development initiatives that delivered continuous revenue growth. On the other hand, she managed cost savings programs that provided improved margins without service decline.
“I am honored to join TRISTAR at such an exciting time in the company’s growth,” said Ruiz. “TRISTAR’s reputation for excellence, its commitment to innovation, and its client-first culture are what drew me here. I look forward to working with the team to build on the strong foundation already in place and to drive the Managed Care division to new heights.”
She possesses several degrees, such as an M.Sc. in Health Information Technology and an MBA. Besides, she completed a Bachelor’s of Science in Computer Science. Moreover, she is fluent in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. Therefore, her extensive education qualifies her to ensure the Managed Care team’s consistent success.
