Grid Dynamics Holdings, Inc. announced a strategic leadership expansion today. The company appointed industry pioneer Nikita Ivanov as Vice President and Head of AI.
In this new role, Ivanov leads the transition toward an AI-native software delivery model. Furthermore, he oversees all operational components of the company’s proprietary GAIN platforms. Grid Dynamics serves Fortune 1000 enterprises as a primary AI transformation partner.
The newly appointed Head of AI brings more than two decades of technological leadership experience. Previously, he founded and led GridGain to develop distributed computing platforms for in-memory data processing. During his fifteen-year tenure at GridGain, he created the Apache NLPCraft framework and Humatron AI. Additionally, he recently served as Field CTO for GenAI at DataStax.
Expanding Open-Source Tools and Systems
Ivanov now applies this engineering experience to advance open-source tools within Grid Dynamics. These enterprise developer assets include Allium, Rosetta, and SpecFlow platforms.
“Nikita brings a rare combination of technical depth, a founder’s instinct for what enterprises will actually adopt, and the ability to turn emerging AI capabilities into production systems at scale,” said Dr. Eugene Steinberg, Chief Technology Officer. “His deep experience with open-source software and communities will be instrumental as we expand our GAIN platforms into a broader ecosystem. That combination is exactly what we need as AI changes not just the software our clients build, but how they build it. This extends an AI foundation we’ve invested in since 2018, starting with deep learning and reinforcement learning and expanding into advanced analytics and, more recently, generative and agentic AI. Across that full portfolio, AI now drives more than 30% of our total revenue.”
Scaling Enterprise AI Operations
The executive appointment strengthens the leadership structure as demand grows for scalable enterprise intelligence solutions. Ivanov focuses on converting client AI experiments into robust production deployments. Consequently, the company expands its software development lifecycle tools under his technical direction.
“Enterprises are rapidly moving beyond AI pilots toward AI-native software delivery and hybrid AI workforce operations. My focus is on accelerating that transition for our clients while ensuring Grid Dynamics remains at the cutting edge of AI innovation. I’m excited to build on Grid Dynamics’ deep technical strength and be part of an organization so committed to pushing the boundaries of what AI can do,” said Nikita Ivanov, Vice President, Head of AI.
The incoming Head of AI will work closely with client engineering teams globally. Moreover, his operational focus ensures that clients achieve measurable return on technology investments. Grid Dynamics continues to enhance its software development frameworks under the guidance of its Head of AI. Through these strategic initiatives, the Head of AI equips global businesses with production-ready intelligence solutions.
