Epicor announced a major executive leadership transition. The company named Vaibhav Vohra as its next Chief Executive Officer effective October 1, 2026. Vohra currently serves as President and Chief Product and Technology Officer. He will succeed current Chief Executive Officer Steve Murphy at the fiscal year close on September 30, 2026. Murphy will step down from the top role but will remain on the Board of Directors. This planned succession reflects strong confidence from the Board of Directors in current strategic initiatives. Both executives will collaborate closely over the coming weeks to ensure a smooth transition for all global partners.
Chair of the Board of Directors Jeff Hawn commended Murphy for building a strong operational foundation. He expressed complete confidence in Vohra’s ability to drive future growth across global enterprise software markets.
“Vaibhav is a proven leader with deep experience in enterprise software, and I am confident he is the right person to lead Epicor into its next chapter,” said Jeff Hawn, Chair of Epicor’s Board of Directors. “On behalf of the Board, I want to thank Steve for his outstanding leadership at Epicor and the strong foundation he leaves in place.”
Vohra originally joined Epicor in 2021 as Chief Product Officer. He quickly took on expanding corporate responsibilities across software development and design. Later, the board promoted Vohra to President in October 2024. Throughout his tenure, Vohra spearheaded core cloud initiatives, artificial intelligence integration, and data supply chain strategies. Before joining Epicor, Vohra built technology businesses at Gecko Robotics and held leadership roles at SAP.
“I am honored to lead Epicor as we enter a new era of transformation across enterprise software. Over the past five years, I’ve seen firsthand the people, customers, and partners that make this company special. Our focus remains on helping our customers grow and succeed in an increasingly dynamic world,” said Vaibhav Vohra. “I want to thank Steve for his exceptional leadership and for all he has done to position Epicor for continued success.”
Accelerating SaaS Innovation and Strategic Cloud Leadership
Under Murphy’s guidance, Epicor strengthened its position as a prominent SaaS leader in industry-focused ERP software. The company accelerated its transition toward a cloud-first business model across international markets. Epicor also enhanced its software capabilities through continued internal innovation and strategic targeted acquisitions. These strategic initiatives helped the organization surpass $1 billion in recurring annual revenue. This operating milestone shows long-term expansion and accelerating digital transformation across industrial sectors.
Murphy noted that the strong financial health of Epicor makes this the ideal time for leadership change. He praised Vohra’s key contributions in shaping future product development and technological direction.
“It has been a privilege to serve Epicor and the talented team behind it,” said Steve Murphy. “We’ve sharpened Epicor’s focus on the customers and industries we serve, and I’m proud of what this team has accomplished. With the company performing well and a clear strategy in place, this is the right time for a change. Vaibhav has been instrumental in shaping our product and technology direction, and he is the right leader for what comes next.”
Consequently, this leadership continuity guarantees uninterrupted service for customers, employees, and global channel partners worldwide.
