Procore Names AI Expert Vishal Misra to Board of Directors

Procore Technologies Inc announced it has appointed Vishal Misra to its Board of Directors today. Misra serves as the RKS Family Professor of Computer Science and Vice Dean of Computing and AI at Columbia University. The company continues to expand its leadership team to strengthen innovation in construction technology and enterprise software solutions worldwide.

Misra is a distinguished technology leader and academic with nearly twenty five years of teaching computer science at Columbia University. He established Infinio, which is a storage optimization software firm, as well as AskHereFirst, a product that uses natural language query AI-based solutions. Misra is also the co-founder of Cricinfo and has played a pivotal role in innovating digital media through various platforms around the world. He served on the Board of DB Digital and pioneered live microblogging at Cricinfo, later acquired by ESPN. Misra earned a B.Tech from IIT Bombay and completed his M.S and Ph.D from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.
