Bob Genter will oversee operations and execution aligned with Peraton’s strategic priorities across defense and federal markets. He will emphasize operational excellence and scalable growth across mission-driven programs and enterprise initiatives. Genter will report directly to Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Steve Schorer. He will collaborate closely with the executive leadership team to strengthen mission-focused capabilities. Additionally, he will advance workforce development and leadership excellence across the organization.

Proven Executive Experience
Genter brings more than 25 years of executive leadership experience in technology and IT services. He has led major programs across defense and civilian government sectors. He has consistently delivered operational excellence and sustainable revenue growth. Most recently, he served as president of the Defense and Civilian Sector at SAIC. He managed a $4.8 billion portfolio and approximately 16,000 employees worldwide. During his tenure, he secured record contract wins across federal agencies. These included a $1.3 billion Treasury T-Cloud transformation award and the Army Corps RITS program. He also led the acquisition and integration of Unisys Federal and Halfaker.
Education and Industry Recognition
Earlier, Genter held senior leadership roles at CGI and American Management Systems. He managed P&L operations, IT outsourcing, software development, and financial strategy. Genter earned an MBA from the University of Rochester’s Simon School of Business. He also completed the General Management Program at Harvard Business School. Industry leaders recognized him as a Fed100 honoree and Wash100 recipient.
