Baum brings a rare mix of frontline operational experience and strong strategic business insight, making his leadership uniquely valuable. He previously served as a fighter pilot and later worked as a business development executive in commercial human spaceflight.
According to Voyager president and co-founder Matt Kuta, Baum brings both operational credibility and strategic imagination to the expanding organization. Before joining Voyager, Baum co-founded Draken International and played major leadership and management roles within the United States Air Force. He built significant expertise as an F-16 pilot, instructor, and air-dominance lead, contributing meaningfully to critical USAF missions. Moreover, he was provided with astronaut training, spaceflight safety, and other related experiences in brief, a mixture of defense and aerospace talents.
