Xylem Names Andrea van der Berg as Chief Financial Officer

Xylem

Xylem Inc. officially appointed Andrea van der Berg as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer today. Consequently, she will assume her new executive leadership responsibilities starting September 1, 2026.

In this strategic executive position, she will report directly to President and CEO Matthew Pine. Furthermore, van der Berg joins the executive leadership team to oversee global financial strategy across all markets.

She succeeds William “Bill” Grogan, who steps down as Chief Financial Officer to pursue another professional career opportunity. However, Grogan will remain with the company through mid-September to support a seamless transition process.

“Andrea is a proven industrial finance leader whose experience spans business operations, capital allocation, value creation and engagement with the investment community,” said Matthew Pine, President and Chief Executive Officer of Xylem. “Her deep knowledge of our business, international leadership experience and strong track record of execution position her well to help accelerate our priorities and deliver long-term value.”

Presently, van der Berg serves as Senior Vice President of Finance for Xylem’s Water Infrastructure segment. Overall, she brings more than twenty years of deep corporate finance and operational leadership experience.

Her professional career spans key functions including treasury, investor relations, financial planning, and corporate strategy. Additionally, she previously spent thirteen years at Honeywell holding various senior finance and business leadership positions.

“Bill has played an important role in strengthening Xylem’s financial foundation and advancing the discipline, capabilities and performance that support our long-term strategy,” Pine said. “We appreciate his many contributions to the company and thank him for his leadership and partnership. We wish him continued success in his next chapter.”

Speeding up strategic priorities and reaffirming financial guidance

She becomes Chief Financial Officer as Xylem executes its strategy for long-term growth. The board of directors is convinced that she will be able to add to the company’s value creation.

Her leadership skills will also enhance capital allocation strategies and investor relations globally. The company has reaffirmed its financial guidance for Q3 and FY26.

The financial guidance remains aligned with financial metrics already communicated to the investors on July 28, 2026. Thus, this executive change does not affect the fiscal or overall objectives of the company.

Finally, bringing in a seasoned internal executive to fill the role of CFO ensures continuity within the organization. So, Xylem continues to be dedicated to providing sustainable water technology solutions to the world’s municipal, industrial, and commercial markets.
