Smith Micro Software, Inc. announced that current Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer Tim Huffmyer will become its next President and Chief Executive Officer. Huffmyer will succeed Bill Smith, who will transition into the role of Executive Chairman on March 31, 2026.
This planned leadership transition follows a structured succession process led by Smith Micro and the Company’s Board of Directors. The Board designed this move to ensure continuity, disciplined execution, and sustained strategic focus.

Experience and Future Direction
During his tenure as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer, Huffmyer managed key operational and financial functions. He also led strategic initiatives and transformation efforts that strengthened performance across the organization. He rejoined the Company in June 2025, having previously served as Chief Financial Officer.
