Stanley Black & Decker has appointed Francesca Campbell as the new General Counsel and Senior Vice President. This is a significant addition to the company’s legal talent and its commitment to corporate governance. Campbell will also be taking up the role of Corporate Secretary, from February 16, 2026. Campbell has joined Stanley Black & Decker from Carrier. Where she was last working as the Senior Vice President and Chief Legal Officer. In her last role at Carrier, Campbell was heading the company’s global legal, compliance, and governance teams. She was also handling the company’s legal issues related to mergers, acquisitions and strategic partnerships.

Before Carrier, she was a practicing attorney in the mergers and acquisitions department at Davis Polk & Wardwell. Where she concentrated on international transactions. According to Nelson, her high ethics will play a critical role in ensuring that the company’s growth is pushed forward. Campbell holds a Juris Doctor degree from Columbia Law School and a Bachelor’s degree from Florida Atlantic University.
