Oregon Pacific Bank today announced a major executive hire to strengthen its regional footprint. The financial institution appointed Katherine Ledson as Market President for the Portland region.
In this new position, Ledson will lead Oregon Pacific Bank’s Portland operations. She assumes full responsibility for market strategy, team development, and client relationships across Oregon’s largest metropolitan area. Consequently, her appointment supports the bank’s active expansion in the local market.
Ledson brings over twenty years of executive banking experience across the Pacific Northwest. In most recent times, she was responsible for creating and leading a commercial banking department within the Portland metropolitan area. In her career history, she created efficient teams, supported businesses within the regions, and formed long-lasting client relationships.
Enhancing Community Banking Investments
This new hire represents a continuing commitment by Oregon Pacific Bank to the Portland area since it opened its branch in Tigard in 2023.
Earlier this year, the institution added a dedicated Trust Officer to enhance client coverage. As Market President, Ledson will further expand the branch’s capabilities to serve local companies, non-profit organizations, and families.
“Katherine is a strong leader who knows what it takes to grow a market and take good care of clients,” said John Raleigh, EVP and Chief Lending Officer at Oregon Pacific Bank. “Portland is an important market for us, and having someone with Katherine’s experience and local relationships leading the way will help us keep building the kind of community bank that Portland businesses and families can count on.”
Proven Academic and Executive Credentials
Academic credentials further support Ledson’s appointment as Market President. She earned a Master of Business Administration with a finance concentration from Seattle University’s Albers School of Business.
Additionally, she holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Spanish from Emory University. Ledson also graduated from the Pacific Coast Banking School at the University of Washington.
Beyond her professional work, Ledson actively participates in regional business groups. She maintains memberships in NAIOP, CREW, the Lake Oswego Chamber of Commerce, and the Portland Chamber of Commerce. Furthermore, she serves on the board of directors for the Classic Wine Foundation.
Now, as Market President, she brings this extensive local background directly to Oregon Pacific Bank.
“I’m passionate about the importance and work of community banks, and I chose Oregon Pacific Bank for its culture, its people, its long-standing history, and its financial strength,” said Ledson. “OPB has a strong commitment to serving local communities, local decision-making, and a relationship-driven approach to banking. It has a strong foundation in the Portland market, and I’m excited to build on that momentum by deepening client relationships, supporting and expanding our team, and driving growth.”
Ultimately, appointing a seasoned Market President positions Oregon Pacific Bank for sustained growth. The bank continues to differentiate itself through tailored local guidance and relationship-based community banking.
