Nokia Appoints Kristen Pressner as Chief People Officer and Member of the Group Leadership Team

Nokia Corporation has appointed Kristen Pressner as its new Chief People Officer and a member of the Group Leadership Team, effective 1 May 2026. 

Pressner has a strong background of over 30 years of worldwide experience in HR. She also is familiar with talent management, and organizational ​‍​‌‍​‍‌​‍​‌‍​‍‌transformation. 

She joins Nokia from Roche Holding AG. There, she served most recently as Global Head of People & Culture for Roche Diagnostics. 

Earlier in her career, she held several HR leadership roles at Texas Instruments Incorporated. She focused on culture and capability transformation in a global technology environment. 

Nokia’s CEO Justin Hotard said that Pressner’s appointment supports the company’s transformation into the AI and cloud-enabled era. Here, people-centric culture and performance are crucial. 

Pressner stated that she is “thrilled to join Nokia” and help unleash the creativity and collaboration of the global team. She will be embedding a customer-first mindset and accountability culture. 

Based in Finland, Pressner will report directly to CEO Justin Hotard. She will lead Nokia’s human resources, talent strategy, and cultural evolution through the next generation of connectivity and networks. 

Her educational background includes an MBA in International Human Resources Management from the University of Dallas. Also, a Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Purdue University. 

This leadership move occurs as Nokia continues to enhance its workforce agility and talent ecosystem. This is amid industry shifts in network infrastructure, 5G/6G, cloud, and IoT service delivery.
