Myomo, Inc. recently announced a strategic executive appointment. Specifically, the board named Mary-Katherine (“Katie”) McClure as Chief Commercial Officer. Accordingly, McClure will officially take up her new role as an executive officer on October 12, 2026. This is after the departure of Micah Mitchell due to a planned succession process. Hence, this executive appointment enhances commercial expansion activities in Myomo.
Additionally, McClure has more than two decades of expertise in medical devices. She has had the experience converting breakthrough health technologies into market successes. Most recently, she served as senior vice president at Inspire Medical Systems starting in 2018. During her tenure there, company revenue grew from $50 million to nearly $1 billion. Moreover, territories under her direct oversight expanded from $2 million to $150 million. Prior to Inspire, she held sales leadership positions at Medtronic, Tobii Dynavox, and Johnson & Johnson.
“We are excited for Katie to join us as we enter our next phase of growth,” said Paul R. Gudonis, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Myomo. “Her experience building commercial teams, expanding market access, and scaling clinical networks is directly relevant to our strategic plan.”
“My passion is in developing commercial enterprises. The MyoPro is a life-changing product for people suffering from upper-extremity impairment. I’m confident we can build a sustainable nationwide eco-system of orthotics and prosthetics providers, therapists and other healthcare professionals to expand market awareness of and access to the MyoPro,” said Ms. McClure.
Growth Milestones and Executive Transitions
Meanwhile, outgoing Chief Commercial Officer Micah Mitchell remains with Myomo through December 23, 2026. This extended window ensures a smooth operational handoff across all commercial departments.
Mr. Gudonis said, “I would like to thank Micah for his significant contributions to the Company. Micah was instrumental in building our commercial organization to support the creation of our direct provider business, which now represents approximately 70% of our annual revenues. His leadership in growing the company’s revenues from less than $2 million to over $40 million is greatly appreciated, and we wish him continued success in his future endeavors.”
Equity Grant Structure and Long-Term Incentives
Additionally, Myomo granted McClure substantial equity awards as a material employment inducement. These inducement grants strictly follow Section 711 of the NYSE American Company Guide.
First, the Compensation Committee approved a time-based restricted stock unit award of 275,000 common shares. Under this structure, 100,000 shares vest six months after her start date. Subsequently, 25,000 shares vest on the first anniversary. Then, 125,000 shares vest on the second anniversary. Finally, the remaining balance vests on the third anniversary.
Second, the committee granted a target performance-based equity award covering 225,000 common shares. Fifty percent of this award vests based on fiscal 2029 financial metrics. On the other hand, the other half depends on the fourth-quarter performance of 2029 compared to the industry peers. Finally, McClure can receive anywhere from 0% to 150% of target shares. Thus, the maximum total number of shares is 337,500 shares.
In summary, this executive hiring emphasizes the visionary approach of Myomo to the future.
