Huron Welcomes Dr. L. Thomas Richards to Board of Directors

Huron announced a key executive expansion today. The company also announced that Dr. L. Thomas Richards has been elected to the board of directors, effective July 23, 2026. This strategic move directly aligns with the company’s ongoing board refreshment initiative. The addition also expands the company’s governing body to a total of 10 members. Huron is looking to benefit from Dr. Richards’ vast experience in life sciences, healthcare innovation and corporate governance.

Executive Background & Governance Expertise 

Dr. Richards recently chaired the board of directors at executive search firm WittKieffer. Previously, he served as Interim Chief Executive Officer of One Biomed and Chief Executive Officer of TessArae. Furthermore, he advises private equity and venture capital investors across the life sciences industry. He also worked as Senior Advisor to Metis Genetics, One Biomed, and Nanomix. Additionally, Dr. Richards practiced academic emergency medicine at Stanford University and the University of California, San Francisco.

Meanwhile, earlier in his career, Dr. Richards worked as an investment banker in M&A groups. He advised prominent financial organizations, including Lazard Frères, UBS, and SG Cowen. Huron will benefit from his past public board experience at Cowen Group, Inc. Moreover, he holds degrees from Yale University, the University of Sydney, and Harvard Medical School. Today, he serves on non-profit boards for The World Telehealth Initiative and Surfrider Foundation. Ultimately, Huron gains an accomplished executive leader to drive sustainable shareholder value creation.
