Before joining Hormel Foods, Monk spent 33 years at General Mills. He served as chief information officer and led global technology strategy and IT operations. Later, he joined Cargill as senior vice president for strategy and digital transformation. There, he directed governance, analytics, AI initiatives, and enterprise data strategy programs. Additionally, Monk holds a Master of Science in software engineering. He also earned a Bachelor of Science in computer science.
