Disney Names Josh D’Amaro New CEO Driving Strategic Growth

Disney’s Board of Directors has appointed Josh D’Amaro as the new Disney CEO through a unanimous vote. According to the board, D’Amaro will assume the highest position in The Walt Disney Company on March 18, 2026. As part of the company’s leadership transition. D’Amaro is currently the head of the company’s largest division. Disney Experiences, which generates significant revenue from theme parks and resorts around the world. In a related move, the board has also appointed Dana Walden as the President. The Chief Creative Officer, who will report to the new Disney CEO.

Leadership Transition and Executive Appointments

As of March 18, Iger will take on a role as a Senior Advisor. Will remain on the Disney board until his retirement at the end of 2026. D’Amaro has been with Disney for almost three decades, including leadership roles at Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resorts. Under the leadership of Disney CEO D’Amaro.
