Biopharmaceutical leader Corcept Therapeutics Incorporated has officially announced a key executive transition within its organizational structure. Sean Maduck will retire from his position as President of the company’s Endocrinology division. Justin Gunn will succeed Mr. Maduck and will fully assume his new responsibilities starting October 1. Additionally, Mr. Gunn will join the executive team and report directly to Chief Executive Officer Joseph K. Belanoff, M.D. Meanwhile, Mr. Maduck will remain with Corcept as a senior commercial advisor to facilitate a smooth leadership transfer.

Background and Commercial Expertise
Mr. Gunn originally joined Corcept in July 2024 as Vice President of Sales and Commercial Learning. During his initial tenure, he successfully designed and built a new field sales and training organization. This dedicated team supported the commercial launch of Lifyorli®, an approved therapy for platinum-resistant ovarian cancer.
Prior to his time at Corcept, Mr. Gunn spent nearly 18 years leading commercial sales teams at Gilead Sciences. He has extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry in the areas of cardiovascular disease, respiratory disease, oncology and virology. Earlier in his career, he held commercial roles at Merck and Sepracor. Mr. Gunn is a graduate of the University of Arkansas, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration.
