Civista Bancshares has officially appointed Jeremy Normington-Slay to its Board of Directors. In addition, he joins the Board of Directors for Civista Bank, effective October 21, 2026.
Currently, Normington-Slay serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Firelands Health in Sandusky, Ohio. Furthermore, Firelands Health operates as a prominent regional healthcare system. The network includes Firelands Regional Medical Center, The Bellevue Hospital, and Firelands Physician Group. Within this role, Normington-Slay guides approximately 2,500 employees and 300 medical staff members across the region. Consequently, his leadership directly impacts local economic and community wellness initiatives.

Strategic Industry Expertise and Community Commitment
Previously, Normington-Slay held senior executive positions with Ascension Healthcare in Wisconsin. Specifically, he managed multiple hospital facilities as regional president for the North Central Region. Earlier in his career, he directed operations for several independent healthcare providers.
Academic preparation supports his professional career. Normington-Slay earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Concordia University Wisconsin. Subsequently, he completed his Master of Business Administration at Plymouth State University. Furthermore, he maintains fellowship status with the American College of Healthcare Executives.
Throughout his career, Normington-Slay actively supported civic advancement. For instance, he served on administrative boards for regional arts, economic growth, and social service organizations. Moreover, he routinely volunteers with community initiatives assisting vulnerable local families.
