Bitwarden today announced the executive appointment of Mary Writz as its new Chief Product Officer. The company stands as a trusted leader in passkey, password, and secrets management tools. Writz brings over two decades of cybersecurity and product leadership experience to her new role.
Furthermore, she will direct global product strategy and portfolio development across the organization. Bitwarden currently serves over 15 million active users and 80,000 businesses across 180 countries. Previously, Writz held senior leadership roles at Red Canary, Zscaler, and ForgeRock.
Earlier in her career, she also gained extensive technical experience at Hewlett Packard and IBM. Her domain expertise spans identity access management, threat detection, machine learning, and security intelligence. Consequently, she brings valuable experience in scaling complex enterprise security tools for global organizations.

Also, she will work very closely with the engineering, marketing, sales, and customer success departments. These joint efforts ensure that the product portfolio evolves alongside changing enterprise security demands. Therefore, Bitwarden can efficiently expand its footprint among major enterprise clients globally.
