Marqeta, Inc. has announced the appointment of Lukasz Strozek as the company’s Chief Technology Officer, effective May 18, 2026. In this role, Strozek will lead the global technology and engineering functions for the modern card issuing platform. He joins the firm with two decades of experience managing engineering organizations across various stages, from startups to public companies within regulated financial services.
Strozek transitions to the company from LendingClub Corp., where he also served as Chief Technology Officer, overseeing engineering, product, and data organizations. His background includes a tenure as CTO of Hippo Insurance and leadership roles at Bridgewater Associates and Bolt Financial. Additionally, he held a leadership position at SoFi after it acquired Clara Lending, a digital mortgage platform he co-founded in 2018.
