Lucy Martin becomes President of Bechtel Mining & Metals business, marking a key leadership transition. The company confirmed her appointment, effective April 6, 2026. She will succeed Ailie MacAdam, who will retire in May after 41 years. Bechtel announced Lucy Martin as President of its Mining & Metals business. Lucy Martin has more than 24 years of experience at Bechtel. She has consistently driven business growth and operational excellence. Furthermore, she has delivered strong results across multiple global markets. She previously served as General Manager for South America. In this role, she managed mining operations, business development, and project delivery. Additionally, she supported major copper and water infrastructure projects.
Earlier, she worked as Operations Manager for the Americas. She led project execution, improved delivery outcomes, and managed operational risks. As Chief Financial Officer for Mining & Metals, she strengthened financial strategies and improved global portfolio performance. Moreover, Lucy Martin served as General Manager for Asia Pacific. She expanded regional operations and strengthened iron ore capabilities. She also launched the Perth office and built a Centre of Excellence for bulk material handling.
