Workiva Inc. has recently made an announcement about the inclusion of two independent experts on the Workiva Board of Directors. The company has named Scott Herren and Mark Peek as the new additions to the board. The purpose of this addition is to enhance the leadership team with the inclusion of experienced SaaS professionals. Scott Herren has previously worked as the Chief Financial Officer at Cisco. He also held a senior financial position at Autodesk. Mark Peek has rich experience as the Co-President and CFO at Workday.

Board Expansion Strengthens Governance and Oversight
Herren will begin his new position on March 2, 2026. Peek will officially become a member of the board on June 1, 2026. Therefore, the Workiva Board of Directors will now comprise eight members. This increase comes after the resignation of David Mulcahy. Mulcahy was the Lead Independent Director of the firm. After his resignation, Suku Radia will assume the role of the Lead Independent Director. These appointments demonstrate the dedication of Workiva to strong corporate governance. The two new members will work to promote transparency and performance. Their experience in financial reporting and auditing will be an asset to the platform. Additionally, their appointment will assist Workiva in dealing with the changing digital reporting environment.
