Suffolk CEO John Fish spoke at BuiltWorlds Venture East and outlined a bold plan using AI and integrated services to advance construction innovation. He announced a $50 million bankroll to hire full-time AI experts and to build “Jobsites of the Future.” Along with that, Suffolk is setting up a 20,000-square-foot AI Center right next to its headquarters in Roxbury, Massachusetts.
Fish highlighted Suffolk as an example of how the company will advance through a unified Seamless Platform integrating core construction functions. The platform will connect design, preconstruction, procurement, off-site manufacturing, self-perform construction, and sustainability under one Master Design Builder. He explained that it would accomplish the goal of project delivery being faster and more straightforward.
Fish said Suffolk will make construction smarter, safer, and more efficient by using advanced technology, machine learning, and a full-cycle model. He suggested that this integrated route would be a radical change in the way America builds.
The keynote revolved around theme of technology and innovation as the means to deal with industry demands that are changing. Suffolk aims to lead transformation across building, infrastructure, and development using AI, robotics, sustainability, and a broad integrated service platform.
