Ilona Logvinova joins HSF Kramer as Chief AI Officer

Chief AI Officer

Global law firm Herbert Smith Freehills Kramer (HSF Kramer) has appointed Ilona Logvinova as its global Chief AI Officer. In this newly created role, Logvinova will spearhead the firm’s strategy for artificial intelligence and digital transformation across legal services.

Logvinova comes to HSF Kramer with a strong track record – she previously served as global Head of Innovation at McKinsey & Company Legal, and held senior counsel roles at Mastercard and in legal transformation at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton.

HSF Kramer’s Global CEO, Justin D’Agostino, said the appointment underscores the firm’s ambition to stay at the forefront of legal technology. He said change is accelerating rapidly, and Logvinova will turn generative AI potential into tangible client value.

Driving legal innovation through AI and transformation

Logvinova said she is excited to join a firm that “believes innovation isn’t about asking ‘what can tech do?’ but rather ‘what do our clients and people need today and tomorrow?’” She and her team will begin working with practice groups across HSF Kramer’s global network. The transition will occur on November 5, 2025.

Formed in June 2025, HSF Kramer unites 2,700 lawyers from Herbert Smith Freehills and Kramer Levin across 26 global offices. With Logvinova joining, the firm aims to lead AI adoption, data management, and workflow innovation amid growing legal tech transformation.

This hire shows HSF Kramer’s commitment to AI and digital transformation, signaling more legal tech innovation ahead.
