In a strategic move, Humanoid Global Holdings Corp. has appointed Saman Farid to its Investment Advisory Board. This decision matches the company’s focus on leading innovation in humanoid robotics and embodied AI.
Strengthening leadership in robotics investments
Farid, founder and CEO of Formic Technologies Inc., has extensive experience in robotics as a service. He has assisted U.S. manufacturers in overcoming labor and productivity issues through automation. He previously led the global investment fund of Baidu Ventures, focusing on AI, machine learning and the future of work.
“I’m excited to help bring robot ubiquity,” Farid said, noting that the robotics sector is reaching a tipping point. Meanwhile, CEO Shahab Samimi of Humanoid Global welcomed Farid’s appointment, citing his leadership and Asian market access as valuable assets.
In his new role, Farid will advise on investment strategy, deal origination, analysis, due diligence, portfolio construction and monitoring. Additionally, Humanoid Global has granted Farid 25,000 incentive stock options and 25,000 restricted share units under its Stock Option and RSU plans. The options vest progressively over three years; the RSUs vest immediately.
This appointment comes as Humanoid Global – a publicly traded investment issuer listed on CSE: ROBO – continues to build and accelerate a portfolio of companies in the humanoid robotics and embodied AI space.
